24 Lessons Learned in 2024
In reflection of ‘24, here are some things I’ve learned in no particular order.
Letting go of love is not betrayal
To you or them.
I do, actually, need to drink at least 86 fl oz a day.
I dont need to be full after every meal - feeling satisfied is a-ok
Enjoying life is a no. 1 priority. But the enjoyment should come from yourself and not where you are or what you’re doing
Laying in your bed, Enjoy it. Going out, Enjoy it. Sleeping, Enjoy it. The action doesn’t make you interesting, you should make the action interesting.
Whatever profession I end up in needs to be social and intellectual, and I’m not interested in compromising on either of those aspects.
Hair is more important than makeup - a blowout goes way farther than a beat face
Shorter hair isn’t easier to style - it just takes less time to dry
“The opposite of love is indifference” AND “whatever influences your actions owns you”
My future romantic partner has to be incredibly intelligent, I prioritize good conversation more than anything else.
Life is lonely.
And that doesn’t have to be a bad thing
Family is really important.
Most people who disagree, specifically political things, often times agree more than they dont.
Most disagreements are not inherent down to a principle, its normally different solutions to the same root problem.
Literally everything is a business. Everything.
Having a lot of money doesn’t matter if you dont know how to use it. Financial literacy is the key to financial freedom.
Country and folk music is good.
You can just choose to be a content person. And when you choose to be a content person, you attract good things.
Creating more than you consume is a big key to being happy.
If you dont move your car for a couple months, you have to call AAA.
The most important relationships in life are the ones that you work on as much as they come naturally
Just because your soul recognizes a person - doesn’t mean that you can just rest on your laurels during the relationship (platonic, romantic or otherwise)
My intuition is often more correct than my rational thinking.
This year has been a lot of trusting my gut
I’m really smart. And that can’t be quantified or qualified.
Dinosaurs are really cool.
Drinking is expensive (both monetarily and in calories.)
It’s fun every once in a while - but it’s really poison.
“Day one” mentality over “one day” actually does make a difference.
I have no idea what I want to do with my life - but I’m 100% sure that what is meant for me will find me.
